Almost Halfway to Nowhere

The other day I had a realization while I was praying.  When we started walking down the road of adopting a child from the US (now, just about a year ago) we were told that it would take us somewhere between 6-18 months, once we had gone active.  Well, 2014 is nearly over and on January 12 we will have reached the 9 month mark.

That means we are almost halfway there!  Well, in theory at least (hence, the title of this post).  I find it comforting to know that we are on the back half of this whole thing.  I'm holding on to all this loosely, however, because don't I know that it could be longer than that!

As we prepare for a new year and all it entails, I can't help but think, "2015 is our year!!"  The anticipation is thrilling!

Happy New Year to you all...and here's to hoping that 2015 will be the year!

I have no idea how I found your blog but I love this. While we were fostering our son our Christmas card had this phrase on it. Sure enough the next year we adopted him :).
