Arms full of Song
So, I have this friend. She has a blog. It is amazing. I love to read it. You know, the type of thing that you read and then think, "why didn't I try and spend more time with this person when I had the chance?" Yeah, that type of blog.
She is a creative, Godly mom of 5 kiddos. One of those children she is 17 days away from meeting. Well, maybe 18 by the time the travel is all done, but she's close! And I am so incredibly excited for her and her family.
So, I got to thinking...I should count down with her, committing to pray along the way! I let my creative juices flow, and the result is below.
Weird, right? I have hung NOTHING up in my living room, and now I have a countdown chain and a chalkboard.
Yes sir! I made the chain out of vintage fabric scraps and hot glue. Then I nailed it to the wall. Yes, nails. (Jason thinks I'm crazy) I grabbed a wooden frame, spray painted it yellow, then cut a piece of cardboard to size and sprayed it with chalkboard paint. (I'll switch it to wood later)
Wa-la! Our first decoration.
Ashley, only 17 more days until your arms are full of Song! Oh the joy that awaits.
